Company Description Conveniently located between Napa and Sonoma Counties, SVC offers a complete array of winemaking services. With Ron Goss, General Manager/ Winemaker and UCD grad, our mission is to establish long-standing relationships with our clients, and help them maintain quality and efficiencies. Our operation aims to accommodate specific needs to make a difference in our clients' winemaking programs. The temperature-controlled 85,000 sqft winery has a capacity to crush 2,500 tons and storage for 10,000 barrels. Blending, bottling and tank storage services are available on site.

Job Description With over 30 customers, our harvest internship will expose willing candidates to an array of different winemaking styles. This hands-on position will run from August through November.
Primary duties:
Fruit receiving, sorting, crushing and pressing.
Monitor fermentations.
Pumpovers, punchdowns, inoculations, nutrient additions.
Cleaning and sanitation.
Other general cellar operations.
Qualifications:
Students or recent grads in Enology or related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
Winery experience preferred but not absolutely necessary.
Willing and able to work long hours, while getting dirty and sticky, for at least six
days/week.
Attention to detail and careful record keeping.
Positive attitude, open to learn, and punctual.
Ability to lift 50 lb.
