Water, and the physiology of plant responses to water
availability, is the focus of my research and that conducted by the students
and postdoctoral associates in my lab.
Our chief research area is tree responses to water stress, and Regulated
Deficit Irrigation (RDI) under field conditions... ah, our two chief research
areas are tree responses to water stress, Regulated Deficit Irrigation (RDI)
under field conditions, and fruit growth.....three, three, our three
chief research areas are: 1) tree
responses to water stress, 2) Regulated Deficit Irrigation (RDI) under field
conditions, 3) fruit growth and 4) pre‑ and postharvest fruit water
relations. Yes, those are our four
chief research areas - there is no other, with the exception of the direct
measurement of fruit cell turgor with the pressure probe...OK, maybe one
other. Anyway, my research program is
also strongly focused on methodology development, particularly in-situ
psychrometers and the use of the micro‑pressure probe for cell water relations
and other studies (...and any other methods that need developing).
